The Fulfillment of My Dream

Sometimes my head is aching when I am thinking of the course that I am going to take up. It takes too many days to decide. As the days pass by, I have already made up my mind to take up teaching profession.

But why did I choose this course? First, it is the field of my interest. Second, I would like to help the less fortunate people in order to survive. And this will serve as my vision and mission in life. Lastly, I just want to follow the footstep of my mother. I believe that my dream would be of great help to many people. And of course, to fulfill my ambition, I need to follow a series of steps. And these are the simple steps. Set your goal/desire, do not make shortcuts, discernment, and prayer and be happy. Let us not waste the time. Every second counts. The fulfillment of our dream depends on us. Always be alert and strong in facing challenges. So that we will surpass the challenges in our life. For me, I will sacrifice all that I have in order to attain my goal. I know that it is not easy, but I will prove to myself that my decision will not mislead me. And I strongly believe that my dream will be my life in the future.

Our dream symbolizes the future. And the series of steps also symbolizes our effort in executing it very well. Therefore if we’re going to add it, the result will be the fulfillment of our dreams successfully. And these will serve as our status or outstanding in the future.

Change: It Starts With Me

Nowadays, our country is facing from many difficulties. First, poverty next wrath and fury of our environment, crimes, political conflicts, global crisis and others. And we are greatly affected by these problems that we're suffering. Is there a solution for these obstacles in our country?

The first thing that came out to my mind was "are the government officials are working very well for the progress, unity, and success of their fellow citizens and for the nation?" By and by I learned to realize that we should not just blame them. Because you and I are part of this institution. So we have to do something for the betterment of each one of us. As a youth, I can contribute an improvement to my fatherland by all means of studying very well. I believe that this is one of the most important thing that we can render to our nation. We should also serve as a good role model to our fellow youths by not using drugs, by not destroying the nature, not committing or doing any crimes. To sum it up let us involve our self to any activity that would develop our own personality and good character. Finally, dependence on God. "Cast your cares on the Lord, he will sustain you, he will never let the righteous fall" (Psalm 55:22). Believe in the power of the Lord. He controls the world. Let us not forget to pray for ourselves, our fellowmen, and our nation to have a better place today and tomorrow.

We need a change. Change that will improve the lives of every Filipino. And the change begins with us. Let's grab this opportunity before it's too late.

Reflection

“Believe in the power of your dreams.” This was the quote I kept in my mind before the beginning of the Third Grading Period. I anticipated it because I was expecting that there will be a lot of activities, challenges, and hardships this third quarter.

Microsoft Office Frontpage. This was our main study for the Third Grading Period. What is your perspective if you hear these words? For the first time I heard it, I felt nervous, and I directly tell to myself that “I cannot do the job.” But believe me, when I was given the chance to do it, I just smiled. A smile full of excitement and happiness. Well, I think I performed much better this grading period. As they quote “the farther the better.” Honestly speaking, I did not encounter any problem, unlike for the past grading periods. I can now easily catch up and follow our lessons. It’s so great.

For this last but definitely not the least grading period I will try my best to maintain the good effect of the power of my dreams. A dream that will never fail or fade away and will fulfill the best of my ability. And proving on I will listen carefully, double my effort as what like I did last grading period, and most importantly I will never forget to ask guidance to our Lord to direct my mind in doing right. I can do it.
